We are seeking an experienced Data Manager to provide operational ownership of Rudolph Libbe Group’s enterprise data platform. This role is responsible for the delivery, governance, prioritization, and day-to-day management of data and analytics initiatives. The Data Manager serves as the primary layer between strategic leadership and hands-on BI resources, ensuring data is reliable, secure, well-governed, and aligned with business priorities.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the day-to-day operation of the enterprise data warehouse, including data ingestion, validation, refresh cadence, and availability.
  • Manage and prioritize the data and BI backlog, balancing new development, governance activities, and operational support.
  • Provide leadership and direction to BI and data resources, including work planning, review of deliverables, and quality assurance.
  • Enforce data governance standards, including data quality rules, field approval processes, sensitivity classification, and access controls.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define authoritative data sources and reporting standards.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained for data sources, integrations, refresh schedules, and known limitations.
  • Coordinate with IS infrastructure and security teams to ensure data environments meet organizational security and compliance requirements.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities within the data platform and recommend corrective actions.

  • Data warehouse operations and lifecycle management.
  • Backlog management and prioritization using Agile or DevOps practices.
  • Data governance, quality assurance, and compliance enforcement.
  • Stakeholder communication and expectation management.
  • Issue analysis, risk identification, and problem resolution.
  • Documentation and process standardization.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into structured, executable data work.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 
 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing data, analytics, or BI teams in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with IBM I systems is a plus.
