Yard Manager

The Yard Manager will oversee operations at the Walbridge, Ohio Yard to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Duties include managing the warehouse, tool inventory, and trucking for Walbridge, Ohio operations. The Yard Manager is responsible to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the Rudolph Libbe Inc. office and grounds.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing overall warehouse operations and personnel, keeping warehouse organized, efficient and supporting our safety culture
• Able to offer advice on the tools and methods available to complete construction activities
• Organizing tools and equipment with tool tracking system and assuring tools are safety compliant
• Oversee receiving and processing orders for tools, equipment and materials for projects
• Coordinating job site deliveries and returns
• Coordinating procurement and maintenance of fleet vehicles
• Forecasting annual department budget and capital expenditures
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, with the ability to reach overhead and work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting, using hands to feel objects, tools or controls, climb stairs, and balance for extended periods of time.
• The associate must be able to lift, pull, and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks and be able to lift 70 pounds of weight throughout assigned workday
• Overtime may be required

SKILLS                                     

• Must be mechanically inclined and have knowledge of constructions methods, tools and equipment
• Ability to react quickly to requests of internal associates and client needs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and use of smartphone technology
• Ability to manage a team

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED
• Warehouse and inventory tracking experience; management experience a plus
