Marketing Director
Summary
RCO Law seeks an experienced Marketing and Business Development professional to serve as the Firm’s Marketing Director. The ideal candidate will have extensive marketing and business development experience in the professional services industry, along with the ability to develop and leverage key relationships with current and prospective clients, referral sources, and community partners. The Marketing Director works with the Firm’s leadership, and individual attorneys, in developing and effectuating business development goals and strategies to better serve existing clients, and capture new business.
Position Details
The Marketing Director, with guidance from the Managing Partner and marketing Committee, and with assistance from a part-time marketing coordinator, supports and coordinates the marketing and business development activities of individual attorneys, practice and industry groups, regional office teams, and Firm-level marketing and branding. Specific duties include:
- Assisting attorneys in the creation and execution of business development strategies for individual lawyers, practice groups, and client/industry relationship teams;
- Developing and managing the Firm’s marketing and business development annual budget, along with monitoring and tracking expenditures and revenue;
- Coordinating and managing media and public relations activities and communications for the Firm, including press releases, attorney and Firm announcements and notices, presentation materials, and coordination with any outside consultants;
- With outside vendor support as necessary, creating and designing newsletters, brochures, and other promotional materials including photography and logos for use on all available marketing platforms;
- Managing the Firm website, on-line presence, and social media strategies, including coordination with attorneys to update content and images, development of SEO strategies, and working with the Firm’s external digital media consultant(s);
- Developing and maintaining client relationship management database to support business development and marketing efforts;
- Planning, managing and supporting external client-related functions, events and opportunities, including receptions, conferences, seminars and other Firm-sponsored events, and client and referral source gifts and communications;
- Developing and implementing client feedback processes including post-engagement surveys, and related follow-up measures;
- With Marketing Committee guidance, planning and coordinating internal Firm events such as seasonal gatherings, parties and social events to foster camaraderie, teamwork and Firm loyalty.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, or commensurate experience.
- Five-plus years of marketing or business development experience, with strong preference for professional services experience, with established demonstrable networking skills.
- Strong organization and project management skills, with ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills across a variety of audiences.
- Independent self-starter able to motivate others and take initiative.
- Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of presentation software, database management, spreadsheet applications and social media platforms.
